International property buyers ’still choosing Spain’
News Article Date: Monday 29th of June 2009
According to Paul Bradley of the Spanish Property Owners Guild, the "marvellous" climate continues to attract those making an investment.
He explained that an increase in enquiries has also been observed, but noted that it may be some time before prices in the country rise significantly.
Brits choosing international property could, therefore, find that homes are more affordable, as Mr Bradley remarked: "Based on actual transactions, property prices were down 11 per cent last year and anticipated to be seven per cent this year."
A recent study by Primelocation.com indicated that more people searched for international property in Spain than in any other country last month.
It came after the global house price index from estate agency Knight Frank revealed that values had fallen by three per cent in the first three months of the year.
